Once a temple, then an art gallery, this 2 story building on San Vicente Boulevard is understated from the street but once inside an amazing office space is revealed. Central glass conference room sets the tone for a visual transparency that makes this 'shotgun' layout of this infill building so pleasant to experience. One journeys around the glass conference room with offices on the opposing side of the hallway, seeing the entire layout through the glass room. Even though it is a contemporary design and an office building, there is a welcoming feeling that makes one want to walk right through to the rear exhibit space that has photos and models of homes built by this world class construction company. It was an honor to be asked to design this building by Mauricio Oberfeld, considering all the architects he works with and has worked with in Los Angeles through the years, thanks Mo.
